Sign Outpatient Diagnostic Lab and Radiology Agreement
Healthcare expenses are often unplanned and unpredictable. North Valley Hospital has recently signed a contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBSMT) that provides the insured with additional value.
When outpatient diagnostic laboratory, radiology, stress and EKG tests are performed on those enrolled in participating plans, the insured is responsible for little or no co-payment rather than the services going toward their deductibles. Plans that include this option are: Healthy Montana Kid’s, Montana HealthLink PPO, and other plan offerings with individuals and companies who are enrolled with BCBSMT.
“We’re just trying to make it easier for patients to access quality, seamless healthcare,” said Laurie Pierce, North Valley Hospital Patient Financial Services Manager. “The in-network plans that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana offers their customers make it easy for patients to take control of their health needs while keeping out-of-pocket costs down for services.”
As part of this partnership, North Valley Hospital has agreed to take a discount to belong to a network that provides affordable healthcare for participating insurers. This applies to outpatient services only. Therefore, if these services are rendered as an Emergency Room or Inpatient order, then the patient’s fee schedule is determined by another code of their plan.
