As a new member to the team at North Valley Hospital, it became evident to me that the staff, physicians, board and volunteers were living out the mission: To be the center of healing for the communities we serve. It also has become evident that the community is actively engaged in a long-term partnership with their hospital. In the current economic environment, our commitment to each other -- hospital to community and community to hospital -- becomes more important ever. Many people in the communities we serve have lost jobs, and with them, their health benefits. But, they still have healthcare needs that we must provide. This becomes an economic challenge for the hospital to provide the same level of services expected and deserved by the community, while also ensuring the future of the organization.
I am confident that with the ongoing support of those individuals that depend on us and the commitment of our staff, physicians, board and volunteers, we will endure these tough times with a greater pride in our whole community while preserving the long history of North Valley Hospital’s mission: To be the center of healing for the communities we serve. | |
