A long-time resident of the Flathead Valley, Doug Shanks, President and Partner of Western Building Center, is more than pleased to be joining the North Valley Hospital Foundation Board.
After graduating in Business Management from the University of Minnesota in 1975, Doug moved to the Flathead Valley and immediately started working at Western Building Center. His perseverance and loyalty lead him from the bottom to the top.
Through his many years here in the Valley, Doug has cultivated special relationships by which he hopes to engage as contributors to the Foundation. The community is grateful to have the hospital at the north end of the Valley, he said, and the great team of staff and doctors is over the top. “The hospital is our shining star and the involvement from the community that made it happen brings tremendous pride.”
Doug is married with two grown children and two grandchildren. He was in the military and served in Vietnam. When his children were growing, he was a coach in Little League Baseball and participated in the Cub Scouts. He is a past board member of the First Best Place and is an active member of St. Richard’s Church. |
