| The Certified Nurse-Midwives of Glacier Maternity and Women’s Center joined North Valley Hospital on November 1, 2010. They provide maternity and gynecological services at four locations in Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Kalispell and Eureka and collaboratively work with all of their patients thereby assuring continuity of care.
“We’re pleased to finalize this clinical integration of Glacier Maternity and North Valley Hospital under the same umbrella,” states Jason Spring, North Valley Hospital’s CEO. “Patients can be assured that they will continue to receive the same high level of patient care and can look forward to more health and wellness services offered in the future. As our community grows, we appreciate having the skills in women’s health provided so caringly by Glacier Maternity .”
A Certified Nurse-Midwife is a Master’s level prepared registered nurse who has additional education in women’s health care and midwifery. Glacier Maternity and Women’s Center provides prenatal care, birthing services, annual wellness exams, contraception and menopause services. Over the last year, they delivered over 200 babies at North Valley Hospital.
