| Join North Valley Hospital and Alpine Women’s Center who will host Living Well and Women’s Health for an interactive breakfast from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 18 at Whitefish Community Center, 121 East 2nd Street in Whitefish. Drs. Mirna Bowden and Kathleen Lewison, Board Certified OB/GYNs at Alpine Women's Center, will present an educational discussion about preventive health measures, risks and treatment options for common health conditions specifically for women.
This presentation is part of Women’s Works - Tools for a Healthier You, a national prevention and wellness campaign developed in partnership with da Vinci® Surgery and the Office on Women’s Health who have joined together to educate women about common health conditions. The campaign web site, www.womenshealth.gov, features details about the program and educational information. Campaign spokeswoman and internationally known actress Andie MacDowell will deliver a very special taped message to all event guests encouraging them to make health a top priority and get their annual checkups. The campaign is intended to reach thousands of women through doctor-led events that will educate participants about the importance of taking control of their health.
Women’s Works - Tools for a Healthier You was created to help women become more aware of common and treatable health issues that may affect them over time. It is a program created in honor of National Women’s Health Week. Guests of the April 18th event also will receive a gift bag that includes patient education brochures and a women’s health diary and will be entered to win door prizes.
