At North Valley Hospital, our Physical Therapists are trained to treat inpatients with their biomechanical problems that cause pain or limit function. Latest research has determined that beginning a program immediately after surgery or trauma enables patients to heal faster. The therapists’ goal at North Valley Hospital is to provide patients with that initial treatment for their long-term solutions.
North Valley Hospital’s Physical Therapists are contracted staff through the SPORT Center in Whitefish. The therapists begin improving patient independence through therapeutic exercise, activities, adaptive techniques and the use of special equipment.

Our Physical Therapists utilize the following equipment in providing the care listed above:

- Cryotherapy (ice packs, cups)
- Hydrocollator (hot packs)
- Assistive devices
Our therapists also work closely with Occupational Therapy and Speech/Language Therapy to provide each patient with a full recovery, both mentally and physically. | |
