 North Valley Hospital’s Community Health Library is the first library in the area that primarily offers healthcare information to the public. Since 2004, it has provided movie, fictional reading, children’s books and education information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. These items can be taken out of the library to patient rooms and patient waiting areas and can be used by patients, families and visitors. Volunteering in the library would involve manning the library during daytime hours of your choice. Your time would involve helping to check out lending material and assisting those interested in accessing health information either on the computer or with the 500-plus consumer health books. | |
