|  | Dog Visitation Program
 Our dog visitation program has brought thousands of smiles to our patients and staff since 2004. For many of our patients, there is nothing more satisfying than having a special moment during a hospital stay with a friendly and fun-loving dog to brighten up their day. Dog handlers and their dogs complete a certification program by the Delta Society before being able to visit patients in the hospital. A volunteer escort accompanies the dog handlers and their dogs through the hospital.
One of our volunteer escorts has said: “It is so wonderful to see the look on the patient’s faces when the dog comes in their room.” North Valley Hospital has one to two dog visitations a week allowing for multiple escort opportunities. | |
