2010 Annual Appeal Letter
Dear Friends,
Thank you! The overwhelming success of past Annual Appeals by the North Valley Hospital Foundation made it possible for enhanced services to better meet the community’s needs. In recent years, the generosity of many community leaders, donors and friends, has helped to fund the purchase of a new glucose monitoring system, pediatric transducers for our ultrasound procedures, an anesthesia machine, and a surgical laser, totaling over $191,000! Building upon the generous donations from past Annual Appeals, North Valley Hospital continues to identify new areas for growth of services and opportunities for enhancement of patient care.
“The new glucometers, for hospital bedside glucose testing, measure results at a higher level of analytical performance. They are able to eliminate various interferences found in the blood, which the older versions of glucometers were unable to do, thus improving accuracy. The test requires a smaller specimen of blood with these meters, and results are available in six seconds. The staff gives a great big thank you to the Foundation!” says Martha Stadler, RN, NVH Nursing Administration.
The Growth Opportunity
To continually meet the expanded needs of those we serve, North Valley Hospital has an urgent need to purchase special vital sign and cardiac monitoring equipment for our current MRI in the Imaging Department. The vital sign and cardiac monitoring equipment, has a cost of $29,000.
